The following criteria must be met to be eligible and awarded the Inside Dance Studio AwardEligible studios must be represented in all segments of the competition in the Competitive Level. This includes at least 1 registered performance in both ballet and contemporary categories for the following performances; solos, duet/trios, and group competition. A studio’s involvement across these categories demonstrates its versatility and commitment to fostering talent in various dance forms. Studios must have representation in the Petite (7-8 years), PreJunior (9-10 years), Junior (11-12 years), PreTeen (13-14 years), Teen (15-16 years), and Senior (17-21 years) divisions. While participation is crucial, the quality of performance cannot be overlooked. Studios should strive for excellence in choreography, technique, and overall presentation. This is assessed through the scoring and feedback provided by the esteemed panel jury members. The spirit of dance goes beyond technical skills. Therefore, studios must exhibit exceptional sportsmanship, teamwork, and positive conduct throughout the competition. Respect for fellow competitors, judges, and event organizers is paramount. Through partnerships with prestigious ballet schools, BCA offers scholarships that propel dancers towards greater heights in their training and competitive performance.
